After delaying for years and waiting until the very end, I decided to take my G2 road test. This is my 3rd time doing the test.1st time: Examiner was condensing and arrogant, test was terminated.2nd time: Entirely my fault, screwed up the parallel parking. Everything else including highway driving was fine. Now this is the 3rd time, I've been practising my parallel parking a LOT to ensure I get it this time.I'm doing my test in Orillia, since I want to give myself the best chance of getting it, by taking it in a rural area, I checked and I will be going on Highway 11 which from what I've heard is a simple highway compared to the 400 series.
I'm also going during off-peak hours where there will be less traffic. What do you recommend? Any tips for my test? Thanks!. Practice parallel parking. Other tips: make sure to watch your speed (I lost some points due to speed on my highway test), make sure to move your head when looking around (the instructor will be watching that). Recommendations: drive around the area you are doing the road test. Also if your comfortable enough when driving on the highway, pick a time during rush hour. You cant lose points going slow due to traffic, and the instructor will reduce the amount of time driving on the highway as well.

Otherwise, good luck!. Parallel parking is honestly one of those things I just had to get a feel for after practicing a ton. Take your time.
For my G test, my examiner asked me to back into a parking space rather than parallel park, and I did it slowly (it's not my strong point, plus at the last minute, I had to take my exam in my parents' van instead of their sedan I had practiced with). My dad, who was watching from afar, said he was afraid the examiner would dock marks from me for my slowness, but I don't think she did. I had all the steps correct and I got it on my first try.Other than that, I agree with - watch your speed, be aware of traffic and signs, and make sure you turn your head and make it obvious you're checking your mirrors and blind spots when you need to. I took my road test in Oakville because waiting for a booking in Brampton (I'm from Mississauga) was like well f&.k that, everyone and their mother books there. I did a parallel park behind a car in a residential area. Signaled to the right, I lined up my wheel with that car's wheel, proceeded in reverse for a bit before turning my wheel toward the curb, when I was nearer to the curb, I straightened out, turning the wheel away from curb, to finish parking I straighten out the wheel and put in park.TL:DRIt isn't wrong to straighten yourself out, parking doesn't have to be a one motion exercise.
Take your time and relax.
